Fatma Racha Shehadeh

 Fatma Racha Shehadeh , was born on August 21st, 1994 in Los Angeles, CA to a Lebanese mother and a Palestinian father. She grew up in Tripoli, Lebanon. Fascinated by music since childhood, she joined Fayha Children’s Choir in 2005. At the age of 13, she was able to finally join Fayha Choir.

Throughout the first two years, Fatma Racha developed a love for choral music, and soon she was trusted by Maestro Barkev Taslakian to work on the first Fayha Choir social project: the Unesco Children Choir, in Tripoli, Saida and Tyr. Under the supervision and guidance of Maestro Barkev Taslakian,

Fatma Racha took charge of Fayha Children’s Choir in 2011. Since then, Fatma Racha worked as an assistant conductor in the other social choral projects with NRC, IRC, SOS.. While being taught by Maestro Barkev Taslakian. Additionally, she works as a film director and cinematographer while keeping strong attachment to choral singing and conducting.

Mahmoud Mawass

Mahmoud Mawass was born on January 1st, 1986 in Tripoli.

He joined Fayha National Choir as Base singer since 2010.

After two years he started to take private lessons in music and conducting classes with Maestro Barkev Taslakian.

In 2013 he started training “Sonbola Choir”, a Syrian refugees’ choir in Beqaa valley as an assistant conductor with 200 children.

One year after, also in Beqaa valley, he worked with “Social Support Society” as an assistant conductor for another Syrian refugees’ choir with 100 singers.

In 2016 he became a music teacher at Azm school and the conductor of “Azm Choir”.

He also worked as assistant conductor in 2019 for “Nagham Choir” (a project between two areas with conflict in Tripoli with GIZ, German Cooperation).

Mawass also worked as a music trainer for several summer camps in Tripoli.

Oussama Charafeddine

 Born on 16/08/1995 in Tripoli, Lebanon.

Graduated from Antonine university with a bachelor's degree in Musicology, and a teaching diploma from the Lebanese International University.

Learning conducting with Maestro Barkev Taslakian since 2013, and been conducting several choirs all over Lebanon under his surveillance and guidance since (S.O.S. Villages Choir, NRC Choir, Sonbola Choir, SSS Choir, Solo Academy Choir, Azm School Choir and Unesco Choir).

Currently working as a Child Protection Officer at the Danish Refugee Council and a Life skills through arts trainer.

In addition to being a singer in the Fayha National Choir since 2011, I have also had the pleasure to lead the choir and conduct them in many concerts across Lebanon.

Started composing for Acapella choirs in early 2022 for local and foreign choirs.
